The quick start
mini-tutorials are designed to give the user basic information about a subject without the
additional editing and manipulation tools that are generally unnecessary for the average
modeling project. Each tutorial will list, but not expound on them, further tools and
options available. |
Model a Cul-de-sac |
You can model a Cul-de-sac at the end of a modeled road by drawing and joining polylines along the path to be taken by the TOC (toe-of-curb.) Then converting that line to a construction line. Applying graderef markers at appropriate points, the end of the road at the TOC edges and the high point. |

Drape the line using the GradeRef Only option. And Extrude the edge of road features wanted. |

Before filling the holes, use the Make Fillet command to smooth the connections and provide better alignment of ends. |

The pavement area is easily controlled with draped construction lines and the judicious use of graderef markers. |

Use Fill Holes on the areas outside the Cul-de-sac. Select the surface with Isolate Portion and use Smooth to get the desired smoothing. |
